Which binder size do I need?
Our files come in fixed, measured sizes. Here is what each one prints, which binder it is made for, and how to tell which you have.
The sizes we print
| Format | Printed card size | Made for |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | 63 × 88 mm, the size of a Pokémon card | Any 3×3 (9-pocket) binder page |
| Vault X | 66 × 94 mm | Vault X 3×3 binders, whose pockets are larger than a card |
| Toploader page | 79.5 × 106 mm panels | 3×3 binders that hold cards in 3"×4" toploaders (in every Bundle) |
| 12-pocket page | Standard cards on a 4×3 grid | 12-pocket binder pages (separate listings) |
Your own card always sits in the centre pocket at its real size, 63 × 88 mm. The sizes above are the printed cards around it.
Standard or Vault X?
A Standard printed card is exactly the size of a Pokémon card, so it fits any pocket a card fits, in any brand of 9-pocket page. In a roomy pocket it has a little play around it, as your real cards do.
A Vault X printed card is 3 mm wider and 6 mm taller, so it fills the larger Vault X pocket and the art runs closer to the pocket edges. In a tight standard pocket it may not fit. If you are unsure which binder you have, print Standard.
How to check your binder
- If your binder is a Vault X, use the Vault X files.
- If your binder takes cards inside 3"×4" toploaders, use the toploader page from a Bundle.
- Anything else, or if you are not sure: use Standard. It is the size of the card itself, so it fits wherever your cards fit.
A note on testing
The Standard and Vault X sizes are the ones our files have shipped with since the first design, and the toploader page is measured for 3"×4" toploaders. We have not tested every binder brand on the market. If yours is an odd size, message us on Etsy or Instagram before you buy and we will tell you which file fits best.
